Tired and weary? Burnt-out? Not sure if you’re committed to God enough? Condemned because you’ve tried and failed repeatedly?
READ THE FOLLOWING VERSES…
“…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:6
“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
Hebrews 12:2-3
“I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!” You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?”
Galatians 2:21-3:3
Jesus started it. He’s going to finish it. Focus not on your own faith but on Christ’s faithfulness. It’s not about your commitment to God; it’s about His commitment to you.
I’m not saying, “Don’t be faithful” or “Don’t be committed”. What the Bible is saying is to focus on the grace of God through Christ. It’s not about looking inward and focusing on what we have. It’s about looking upward and seeing what Jesus has already paid for by His blood.
We can be faithful to Him because He is first faithful to us. We can be committed to Him because He is committed to us. We cannot give up on Him because He is not giving up on us. We can love Him because He first loved us.
